Walo

Walo is a mobile app for a pilates studio that lets members browse the class schedule, book sessions, join waitlists, manage subscription plans, and handle payments through MercadoPago. Built with React Native and Expo, it combines a smooth booking experience with push notifications, a rewards program, and a full profile and payment history section.

I joined as the tech lead, driving product and technical decisions, owning the release process across iOS and Android, and implementing the critical pieces of the app: push notifications, OTA updates with Expo, and the MercadoPago payment integration. The rest of the implementation was carried out by a junior developer that I mentored throughout the project, reviewing their work and guiding them on architecture, patterns, and best practices.
