Cooper's Hawk
Member app for a restaurant and winery chain with 40+ locations, rated 4.9 out of 5 from 63K ratings on the App Store.
Context
Cooper’s Hawk is an Illinois-based restaurant and winery chain with more than 40 locations, each with a full-service restaurant, tasting room and retail store. Its app lets members and guests make reservations, browse menus with wine pairings, join and use the Wine Club, explore locations and order carryout.
My role
I was one of two developers, on a team with a PM, a QA engineer and a tech lead. I built:
- Reservations
- The Wine Club
- Login
- The member’s personal wine catalog
- Gifts
What was hard
The UI. It relied on complex animations and transitions that had to feel smooth on every device.
Outcome
The app is rated 4.9 out of 5 from about 63,000 ratings on the US App Store (as of October 2026).
